We are an inclusive community garden offering local volunteering opportunities in Crawley. Whether you have experience/knowledge in gardening or not, we would love you to be part of our journey to build, share and sustain gardening knowledge within the community!
We currently have 2 'No Dig' plots in Gossops Green which we would love for you to help us with!
Always a cuppa and sweat treat for our volunteers at our sessions too.
If people just wish to come and have a chat and just enjoy the outdoor space that's fine too.
Crawley Community Garden is about providing an outdoor space to come in general, as well as a space to grow, harvest and share fruit and vegetables.

Ethos and Projects:
Our Ethos
1. Provide opportunities to support people's overall wellbeing - via green space to socialise/connect with others in the community whilst growing and harvesting fruit and vegetables together.
2. Share and build sustainable knowledge that supports local/community led growing and harvesting.
3. Connect with and be part of nature/reconnect with nature - there are many therapeutic benefits to being outside and reconnecting in this way.
Our Projects
1. Maidenbower Junior School Community Sensory Garden Project, in collaboration with Crawley Bee Wild. This was our project from which our community garden group grew.
2. Edd's 'No Dig' method at the CCYS allotment in Gossops Green (helped there in 2022 and gained some valuable knowledge and skills). This is now our primary base to work on our current project of adopting the 'No Dig' methods.
We also would eventually like multiple community gardens in different areas of Crawley. However, we need many volunteers in each area and a strong core team to make that possible.
Everyone is always welcome to come and do as little or as much as you like, whilst enjoying the outside space. Please do not feel obligated to stay any longer than you can or feel physically able to - we want you to enjoy your volunteering.
Check out the tabs on this site to read and see more info on each project we're currently working on with our lovely team of volunteers.
